1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the teachme.org.za platform ("Platform"), operated by Dynamic Potential Global, trading as teachme.org.za ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the Republic of South Africa. By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consented to these Terms on your behalf.
• Be enrolled at or affiliated with a recognised educational institution, or be a self-directed learner.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to:

• Create only one account per individual.
• Not share your account credentials with any other person.
• Notify us immediately at support@teachme.org.za if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Subscription Tiers & Payment

The Platform offers tiered subscription plans. Free tier features are provided at no charge. Paid tiers ("Pro" and "Premium") unlock advanced AI capabilities and are subject to the following:

• All fees are quoted and charged in South African Rand (ZAR), inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• Payments are processed via PayFast. We do not store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refunds are not provided for partial periods. You may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period.
• We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 (thirty) days' written notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:

• Submit content that is plagiarised, deceptive, or intended to facilitate academic dishonesty.
• Attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Platform's AI models, prompt architecture, pedagogical logic, or any proprietary methodology.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Platform without express written permission.
• Reproduce, redistribute, or commercialise any portion of the Platform's coaching outputs, interface, or content.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any material that could damage the Platform or other users.
• Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your institutional affiliation.

The Platform's Socratic coaching methodology, AI routing logic, prompt design, and pedagogical framework are proprietary intellectual property of Dynamic Potential Global, trading as teachme.org.za. Any attempt to extract, replicate, or commercialise these constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may give rise to civil and/or criminal liability.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 All content, software, design, branding, AI prompts, pedagogical frameworks, and methodologies on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Dynamic Potential Global, trading as teachme.org.za, and are protected under the Copyright Act 98 of 1978 (as amended) and applicable South African intellectual property law.

6.2 You retain ownership of any original written content you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content for the sole purpose of providing the coaching service to you.

6.3 We do not claim ownership of your submitted academic work. Your writing is yours.

7. AI-Generated Content & Academic Integrity

The Platform is designed as a Socratic writing coach. It asks questions and guides your thinking — it does not write assignments for you. You acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for the originality and integrity of work you submit to your institution.
• Any use of AI-generated text contrary to your institution's academic integrity policy is your responsibility alone.
• We expressly design the Platform to support learning, not to replace it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dynamic Potential Global, trading as teachme.org.za, shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.
• Loss of academic standing, grades, or institutional consequences resulting from your use of the Platform.
• Interruptions to service, data loss, or technical failures.

Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 3 (three) months preceding the relevant claim.

9. Privacy & POPIA Compliance

We collect and process your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms, sets out how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to this processing.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account with immediate effect if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@teachme.org.za. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users via email or an in-platform notice at least 14 (fourteen) days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage you to contact us first at support@teachme.org.za to resolve any dispute informally.
