1. Our Subscriptions
TeachMe offers a free tier (Tier 1) and a paid monthly subscription (Tier 2), with further tiers planned. The paid subscription is billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Paystack. By subscribing, you authorise a recurring monthly charge until you cancel.
2. Cancelling Your Subscription
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. When you cancel:
- No further monthly payments will be taken.
- You keep access to the paid features until the end of the month you have already paid for.
- At the end of that period your account moves to the free tier (Tier 1).
You can cancel using the link in any Paystack payment-confirmation email, or by emailing us at support@teachme.org.za and we will action it for you. Cancelling your plan inside TeachMe stops future access changes, but you should also cancel the recurring payment on Paystack so no further charge is attempted.
3. Refunds for the Current Period
Because each payment buys a full month of access in advance, we do not provide pro-rata or partial refunds for the remainder of a month once it has started. Instead, you keep full access for the period you have paid for, and cancellation simply stops the next payment.
4. Billing Errors and Duplicate Charges
If you believe you have been charged in error — for example a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge for an amount other than the advertised price — contact us at support@teachme.org.za. Where we confirm a genuine billing error, we will refund the affected amount.
5. Free Tier
The free tier is provided at no cost, so there is nothing to refund. You can stop using it at any time, or delete your account from your profile page.
6. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy removes or reduces any rights you have under South African law, including any cooling-off or cancellation rights that may apply to electronic transactions under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Where the law gives you a stronger right than this policy, that right applies.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email support@teachme.org.za with the email address on your account and a short description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 5 business days. See our Dispute Resolution page for how complaints are handled if a matter is not resolved.
