Multi-lingual parent teacher communication supports intellectually disabled learners – Vanessa Le Roux

Dr Jean Fourie and Vanessa Le Roux from the Department of Educational Psychology, presented a paper at the 9th Annual ‘Teaching Practice Symposium’ in October, 2017.  This paper explored the support needs of parents who have children with mild intellectual disabilities in a Gauteng special needs class. Crafting multi-lingual parent teacher communication channels significantly contributed to supporting the learners with intellectual disabilities.
